Daniela del Rio Peters, known as My My Felina, is a transdisciplinary artist whose practice moves between painting, printmaking, collage, and writing. Her work subtly explores the subjectivity of intimacy and the elusive nature of belonging, conveying representative, allusive symbols through bold contrasts of intense color.
Inspired by the swirling dust storms and the silent erosion of arid northern landscapes, My My Felina’s work becomes an internal homage to her native Torreón. She recurrently uses everyday objects—chairs, windows, beds, discarded items—as allegories that, rather than acting as static elements, function as portals of emotional weight.
My My deploys an expressionist attitude indebted to collage compositions, a logic she also applies in her approach to painting. In parallel, her practice is framed within contemporary figurative painting, strongly centered around themes of spiritual belonging and emotional territory. Felina’s process is visceral and energetic, with a tenacious approach to the medium. Her printmaking work emerges from narratives of inherited memory, opening the way for curiosity to carve a path of experimentation. Her pieces respond with a spontaneous and fluid character. She engages with an idea to seduce it, challenge it, destroy it, and rebuild it.
Felina is currently pursuing her academic formation in the arts while deepening her multidisciplinary practice. Her first book, Donde los amigos mundanos se llaman Felina, became an Amazon bestseller, reflecting the intimate and conceptual nature of her voice. She continues to build a practice shaped by memory, material exploration, and the silent rituals of introspection — finding resonance between image, memory, and the quiet pulse of inner life.
